Shoot dieback and necrotic black lesions were observed on pomegranate trees (Punica granatum Linn.) in commercial orchards in South Africa near Ladismith and Malmesbury in 2011. Postharvest fruit rot was identified from an orchard near Malmesbury in 2011.
