Since 2008, Pseudomonas syringae pv. actinidiae virulent strains (Psa‐V) have quickly spread across the main areas of kiwifruit (Actinidia deliciosa and A. chinensis) cultivation causing sudden and re‐emerging outbreaks of bacterial canker to both species.
