<h4>ABSTRACT</h4> Circular, viral copy DNA (cvcDNA) can reveal the existence of endogenous viral elements (EVE) in shrimp genomic DNA. Here we describe isolation and sequencing of cvcDNA from a breeding stock of the whiteleg shrimp Penaeus vannamei .
