The partial resistance to leaf rust in barley is a quantitative resistance that is not based on hypersensitivity. To map the quantitative trait loci (QTLs) for partial resistance to leaf rust, we obtained 103 recombinant inbred lines (RILs) by single-seed descent from a cross between the susceptible parent L94 and the partially resistant parent Vada.
