Tribulus terrestris L. (Chota gokhuru), an annual herb of the Zygophyllaceae family accumulates steroidal-type triterpenoids of diosgenin in root, leaf, fruit, which have been used as a traditional medicine to cure steroidal hormonal diseases such as estrogen, progesterone, and cardiovascular and urogenital.
