<title>Abstract</title> <p> Background Distal radius fractures (DRF) involving the dorsoulnar fragment (DUF) are categorized as unstable fractures. Inadequate fixation of the DUF will compromise the stability of both the radiocarpal joint and the distal radioulnar joint.
