In previous greenhouse and field studies, the neonicotinoid insecticide imidacloprid interacted synergistically with five entomopathogenic nematode species against five scarab species. Two other neonicotinoids, thiamethoxam and acetamiprid, showed a weaker interaction with nematodes in scarab larvae.
