Genetic differences among three citrus scab pathogens were investigated. The three pathogens were (i) the cosmopolitan Elsinoe fawcettii causing citrus scab, (ii) E. australis from South America causing sweet orange scab, and (iii) Sphaceloma fawcettii var. scabiosa from Australia causing Tryon's scab.
