Abstract Introduction: Isocitrate dehydrogenase (IDH) enzymes catalyze the NADP-dependent interconversion of isocitrate and α-ketoglutarate. R132* IDH1 mutations lead to cellular accumulation of 2-hydroxyglutarate (2-HG), an oncometabolite that promotes tumorigenesis.
