<h4>Background: </h4> Atopobium vaginae and Gardnerella vaginalis are commensal vaginal bacteria. They are common pathogens of bacterial vaginosis and rarely cause pneumonia. Methods We report a case of a 27-year-old female with severe pneumonia, diabetic ketoacidosis, and hyperthyroidism.
