OBJECTIVE: To analyse the hereditary susceptibility by genotyping of HLA-DQA1 alleles in essential hypertensives. METHODS: The allelic types of HLA-DQA1 were detected by PCR-SSP technic in 52 cases of essential hypertensives and 86 normal individuals as the control.
