The study was an attempt to correlate phenotypic pathogenetic determinants of clinical Candida albicans strains with their genotype as determined by PCR fingerprinting. A total of 25 C. albicans strains was tested. Adherence capacity, hydrophobicity and proteinase production were compared with the genotypes of the particular Candida strains.
