Randomly amplified polymorphic DNA (RAPD) genotyping was applied to one representative strain of each of the 84 electrophoretic types (ETs) of Neisseria meningitidis serogroup A previously defined by multilocus enzyme electrophoresis (MEE) (J.-F.
