Fellomyces ogasawarensis and Fellomyces distylii, new yeast species isolated from a dead leaf of a plant (Distylium-lepidotum Nakai, family Hamamelidaceae) collected in the Ogasawara Islands, isolated islands in the Pacific Ocean about 1000 km south of Japan, are described.
