To detect the variant transthyretin (TTR; Met30) in cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) of familial amyloidotic polyneuropathy (FAP) patients, we have applied a new method using a centrifugal concentrator device and electrospray ionization mass spectrometry (ESI-MS).
