A kinetic study of Drosophila melanogaster sepiapterin reductase has been done. The apparent Km for sepiapterin has been estimated as 153 microM. N-acetyldopamine, N-acetylserotonin, and N-methoxyacetylserotonin have shown to be noncompetitive inhibitors for the Drosophila sepiapterin reductase.
