Malignant hyperthermia (MH) is a pharmacogenetic disorder. Susceptibility to MH (MHS) is presumed to be inherited in an autosomal dominant way. MH crises are triggered by halogenated inhalational anaesthetics and suxamethonium, and may be lethal if not treated early and adequately.
