Calmodulin, a primary plant calcium receptor, is known to be intimately involved with gravitropic sensing and transduction. Using the calmodulin-binding inhibitors trifluoperazine, W7 and calmidazolium, gravitropic curvature of Arabidopsis thaliana (L.) Heynh, ecotype Landsberg, roots was separable into two phases.
