Trace elements in two varieties of spinach cultivated in soil with different levels of added iron were determined. Addition of iron to soil decreased potassium, sodium and magnesium contents in spinach markedly (p < 0.05), while the contents of zinc, manganese and copper in spinach were not significantly altered (p > 0.05).
