A case of type III hyperlipoproteinemia (HLP) (dysbetalipoproteinemia) acquired by liver transplantation is reported. The 50-year-old female patient was referred to the Frankfurt University Hospital for orthotopic liver transplantation. She had suffered from ethylic liver cirrhosis.
