We studied the expression of myosin heavy chain (MHC) isoforms, utilizing electrophoretic methods, in rib cage (RC) muscles: the scalenus medius, the parasternal, cephalic, midthoracic, and caudal intercostal muscles; and in the diaphragm (DI) of rats during postnatal development and when mature.
