Splenic macrophages (M phi s) induced by the two colonial variants of Mycobacterium avium complex, SmT variant (smooth, transparent, flat) and SmD variant (smooth, opaque, domeshaped), were studied for their suppressive activity against mitogenic response of splenic T cells to concanavalin A (ConA).
