A subpopulation study of lymphocytes concentrating in cavernous, lymph node tissues and blood from patients with fibrous-cavernous tuberculosis of the lungs showed that in spite of high CD3+ and CD4+ cell levels in the cavern, the response of these cells to mitogens may be weaker than blood lymphocyte response. IL-2 production by cavern lymphocytes varied and was unrelated to proliferative response of these cells...
