To investigate the mechanism of transcriptional regulation of cryIVA and cryIVB, encoding 130-kDa dipteran-active crystal proteins, in Bacillus thuringiensis subsp. israelensis, we introduced each gene into several sporulation mutants of Bacillus subtilis.
