Genetic variation in 25 Cryptosporidium isolates was analyzed using the random amplified polymorphic DNA (RAPD) technique. Simple reproducible polymorphisms were generated (using five primers) from Cryptosporidium DNA that was free of contaminating bacterial DNA.
