The effect of heating, urea and L-homoarginine on the total activity of serum alkaline phosphatase was investigated in pigs of Akp B, Akp BC and Akp A phenotypes. Each of these factors decreased the activity of the enzyme, but under the experimental conditions applied the effect exerted by L-homoarginine was weakest.
