The ferric uptake regulator (Fur) is a key regulator of bacterial iron homeostasis and virulence. In this study, a fur gene mutant (Δfur) of Vibrio harveyi was constructed and its pathogenicity was evaluated in Penaeus vannamei compared with the wild-type (WT) strain.
