Genetic lipodystrophies are a heterogeneous group of autosomal dominant and recessive disorders characterized by generalized or partial loss of body fat. Most patients with familial partial lipodystrophy (FPLD) have dominant inheritance with heterozygous pathogenic missense variants in LMNA.
