Abstract excerpt
Our objective was to evaluate the in vitro ability of eight Cutibacterium acnes strains to acquire amoxicillin-resistance and the amoxicillin efficacy against biofilm. Regardless of the phylotype, no resistant mutant was selected during the in vitro study. Amoxicillin demonstrates more effective results in preventive conditions compared to curative conditions against C. acnes biofilm.
