Bacterial diseases like huanglongbing (HLB) and citrus canker severely impact citrus production. HLB, caused by "Candidatus Liberibacter asiaticus" (CLas), leads to tree decline, while citrus canker, caused by Xanthomonas citri pv. citri (Xcc) causes necrotic lesions on leaves and fruit.
