INTRODUCTION: The WHO classification of central nervous system tumors (5th edition) classified astrocytoma, IDH-mutant accompanied with CDKN2A/B homozygous deletion as WHO grade 4. Loss of immunohistochemical (IHC) staining for methylthioadenosine phosphorylase (MTAP) was developed as a surrogate marker for CDKN2A-HD.
