Congenital Myasthenic Syndromes (CMSs) are rare inherited diseases of the neuromuscular junction characterized by muscle weakness. CMSs with acetylcholinesterase deficiency are due to pathogenic variants in COLQ, a collagen that anchors the enzyme at the synapse.
