Sapovirus (SaV) and astrovirus (AstV) are important viral causes of acute gastroenteritis. From 2016 to 2019, 172 stool samples were collected from children with gastroenteritis in Kobe, Japan for sentinel surveillance of infectious gastroenteritis.
