BACKGROUND: Cytochrome 4F2 (CYP4F2) is a major arachidonic acid-metabolizing enzyme which produces 20-Hydroxyeicosatetraenoic acid (20-HETE). It is found that 20-HETE is involved in the pathophysiology of many diseases, including diabetes mellitus.
