Androgen insensitivity syndrome (AIS) is a rare X-linked genetic disorder caused by mutations in the androgen receptor (AR) gene. AIS can be divided into partial type (PAIS), mild type (MAIS), and complete type (CAIS) based on the degree of androgen insensitivity.
