Eucommia ulmoides (E. ulmoides) is a deciduous perennial tree belonging to the order Garryales, and is known as "living fossil" plant, along with ginkgo (Ginkgo biloba), metaspaca (Metasequoia glyptostroboides) and dove tree (Davidia involucrata Baill).
