Hairy cell leukemia is a rare form of leukemia: three hundred new cases are diagnosed each year in France. The diagnosis is based on: (1) morphological examination of the blood and bone marrow smear, (2) analysis by flow cytometry of hairy cells, which express three or the four following markers: CD11c, CD25, CD103 and CD123, (3) identification of the BRAFV600E mutation, a true molecular marker of the disease....
