Facioscapulohumeral muscular dystrophy (FSHD) is an autosomal dominant muscular disorder characterized by weakness of facial, shoulder, abdominal, hip girdle, humeral, and anterior distal leg muscles, with descending progression from the face to the legs in an asymmetric pattern.
