BACKGROUND: Bronchoscopy for suspected lung cancer has low diagnostic sensitivity, rendering many inconclusive results. The Bronchial Genomic Classifier (BGC) was developed to help with patient management by identifying those with low risk of lung cancer when bronchoscopy is inconclusive.
