Summary Peripheral T‐cell lymphomas (PTCL) comprise a heterogeneous group of aggressive lymphoproliferative disorders almost all of which are associated with poor clinical outcomes. Angioimmunoblastic T‐cell lymphoma (AITL) and some peripheral T‐cell lymphoma, not otherwise specified (PTCL‐NOS) have similarities to normal CD4+ T‐cell subsets in their gene expression profiles.
