Neuroblastoma (NB) is the most common extracranial solid tumor occurring in childhood. NB arises from a sympathoadrenal lineage progenitor of the neural crest during development. It is a heterogeneous malignancy with prognosis ranging from good outcome in low-risk disease to poor survival in high-risk, depending on tumor biology and clinical presentation at diagnosis.
