Hereditary angioedema with normal C1 inhibitor (HAEnCI) is a novel type of HAE, whose genetic background is heterogeneous.1 Mutations in the factor XII (F12) gene have been reported almost exclusively in Caucasians,2-6 whereas none have been reported for other races, including Asians.
