Inhibition of sclerostin with sclerostin antibody (Scl-Ab) results in stimulation of bone formation on cancellous (Cn), endocortical (Ec), and periosteal (Ps) surfaces in rodents and non-human primates. With long-term dosing of Scl-Ab, the increase in bone formation is not sustained, attenuating first on Cn surfaces and later on Ec and Ps surfaces.
