The double mutant ΔkatG/tpx of cyanobacterium Synechocystis sp. strain PCC 6803, defective in the anti-oxidative enzymes catalase (KatG) and thioredoxin peroxidase (Tpx), is unable to grow in the presence of exogenous H2O2.
