OBJECTIVE: Our recent work reported that tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) is negatively correlated with brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) in patients with schizophrenia. A previous study has shown that TNF-α could regulate the extracellular secretion of BDNF.
