Purpose The most common γ‐aminobutyric‐acid (GABA) editing approach, MEGA‐PRESS, uses J‐editing to measure GABA distinct from larger overlapping metabolites, but suffers contamination from coedited macromolecules (MMs) comprising 40 to 60% of the observed signal.
