The Magnaporthe oryzae genes FLB3 and FLB4, orthologues of the Aspergillus nidulans regulators of conidiation FlbC and FlbD, were inactivated. These genes encode C2H2 zinc finger and Myb-like transcription factors, respectively, in A. nidulans.
