The Beckwith-Wiedemann syndrome (BWS) is a genetic disorder characterized by somatic overgrowth and predisposition to embryonal tumors, such as Wilm's tumor, hepatoblastoma, neuroblastoma and rhabdomyosarcoma (RMS).
