OBJECTIVE: To explore the association between the vitamin D receptor (VDR) gene polymorphisms and HOMA index in prediabetes. METHODS: On the basis of a cross-sectional study which was conducted in Ningxia during 2008-2012, 339 controls and 468 subjects with prediabetes were selected according to ADA diabetes diagnosis standards.
