Mucolipidosis (ML) III gamma is a rare autosomal-recessive disorder caused by pathogenic mutations in the GNPTG gene. GNPTG encodes the γ-subunit of GlcNAc-1-phosphotransferase that catalyzes mannose 6-phosphate targeting signal synthesis on soluble lysosomal enzymes.
